Crossing Off Another Country ✈️
Last month I spoke at an international dealer meeting for Lindsay Corporation in The Bahamas. Getting paid to work in a foreign country is cool, and admittedly, there’s a certain panache attached to doing so. The problem: I was only in the Bahamas for 24 hours!
Quick Reflections On My Over-The-Border Events
Switzerland: My first international jaunt was in 1995 for a SwissAir customer event. I don’t think SwissAir exists anymore.
Canada: Been there a bunch. Heading to Manitoba next month for my 7th province.
Mexico: Was in Cabo last August for dairy people, yet I couldn’t find chocolate milk anywhere.
Bermuda: They really do wear those shorts, and sometimes with a sport coat — a look I can get behind!
Germany: Filmed a movie with Leslie Nielsen.
Puerto Rico: As a U.S. territory, is P.R. a foreign country? Anyway, I rode into the event for Suzuki dealers in a Grand Vitara then delivered a Bill Clinton show.
Panama: With public mass transit in short supply, private operators put amazing paint jobs on old school buses then haul people around for hire. At first, I thought I’d found The Partridge Family’s lost bus.
